a dream with andy murray

After Rafa’s loss to my personal tennis villain Novak Djokovic, I knew that Andy Murray was going to the Cincinnati title.

The final was too late for me to watch, but even in my sleep, my mind can’t escape tennis. I dreamed I was at a party of a close friend of mine, and as dream logic goes, Andy Murray was there, laughing and drinking with us. We talked like old friends, and I noticed he had a more pronounced Scottish accent than in his TV interviews (probably morphing with my memory of my stepdad’s accent). I was pretty sure we were celebrating his victory in Cincinnati.

When I woke up, I found out that it was real, Andy Murray winning the tournament, I mean. It made my morning. Maybe I should go into sports betting.

*Dear Tito Les: in my book, this dream should make up for the fact that I cheer for Rafa instead of Andy Murray in MOST matches.
